We’re excited to share that Hoʻōla Farms is featured in the 2025 Hawai‘i Voluntary Local Review (VLR) as part of the Aloha+ Challenge Dashboard’s Action Spotlights, which highlight local projects and organizations advancing Hawai‘i’s sustainability goals.
As a proud member of the Hawai‘i Food Hub Hui (HFHH), Hoʻōla is spotlighted under the “Increasing Access to Food Through Food Hubs” feature alongside fellow HFHH members, Mālama Kaua‘i and Hawai‘i ʻUlu Co-op. Our collective efforts are helping to build a more resilient, community-based food system across the islands.
This work was made possible in partnership with Hawai‘i Green Growth’s UN Local2030 Hub. The Action Spotlights on the Aloha+ Challenge Dashboard bring together storytelling and data to show real community progress on one or more of the six Aloha+ Goals—offering transparency, accountability, and momentum toward Hawai‘i’s 2030 commitments.
We’re also excited to share our new Interactive Story Map, created with Hawai‘i Green Growth as part of the Aloha+ Challenge Action Spotlights.
This Story Map highlights the people, programs, and impact behind Hoʻōla Farms—showcasing how we’re working to strengthen local food systems, support Veteran and beginning farmers, and grow community well-being through hands-on agriculture. It also features data, photos, and stories that bring our mission to life.
We invite you to explore the Story Map and see how our work connects to the broader goals of the Aloha+ Challenge and Hawai‘i’s commitment to sustainability and community-driven action.
