At Ho‘ōla Farms, collaboration and community are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Same Canoe, a long-standing food access program committed to connecting fresh, locally grown food with limited-income residents on Hawaiʻi Island.
Through this partnership, we worked together to provide community members with convenient, affordable access to farm-fresh produce—using our online farmers market, Hawai‘i Farm-to-Car, and bi-weekly food pick-up locations in East Hawai‘i .
About the Same Canoe Program
Since 2015, the Same Canoe Local Food Challenge has been serving North and West Hawai‘i with the support of a USDA NIFA grant. The program makes it easier for families and individuals to access healthy, local food, while also supporting the Hawai’i farmers and producers. From October 2023 to July 2024, our partnership helped extend this reach through Hawai‘i Farm-to-Car,
