At Ho‘ōla Farms, we believe that access to fresh, nutritious food is essential for every stage of life—especially for our keiki. That’s why we’re proud to be a returning partner in the KauKau 4 Keiki Summer Food Service Program, an initiative that brings healthy meals directly to families across Hawai‘i Island during the summer months.
Nourishing Keiki All Summer Long
Each summer, for six weeks, we work alongside Vibrant Hawai‘i and the Department of Education’s Hawai‘i Child Nutrition Program to provide weekly food bags to children in our community. These bags are thoughtfully packed with a week’s worth of USDA-approved shelf-stable items and fresh produce—everything needed to make healthy breakfasts and lunches at home.
To support families even further, each delivery includes a helpful meal plan and recipe guide, making it easy to prepare balanced meals using the ingredients provided.
A Community Collaboration
This program is part of a larger statewide effort supported by Vibrant Hawai‘i’s network of Resilience Hubs and Resilience Alliance Partners. Together, we help ensure that no child goes hungry during the summer, when access to school meals is limited.
Through this collaboration, Ho‘ōla Farms acts as a food distribution partner—supporting both our keiki and Hawai‘i’s agricultural community.
