Support Local Hawaiʻi Island Farmers

Hawaiʻi Farm-to-Car is an online farmer's market with weekly curbside pickup where customers can purchase local produce, meats, eggs, cheeses, baked goods, and value-added products. It's an innovative, convenient, and safe way for farmers to sell their products directly to consumers.

How it Works

If you grow produce or make value-added agricultural products on Hawaiʻi Island, we’d LOVE to have you as one of our producers! Here is how Hawaiʻi Farm-to-Car works:

  • Every Thursday, you’ll upload your list of available products, quantities, and pricing to our online marketplace.
  • Customers shop the market online from Friday morning to Monday afternoon each week.
  • You’ll get a pick list for all of your orders on Monday afternoon and will need to drop off your items at our aggregation location in Hilo on Tuesday or Wednesday.
  • Customers pick up their Farm-to-Car orders from 3pm-6pm Wednesday afternoons.

The Fine Print:

  • Producers are not required to list or sell every week.
  • You will be in control of setting your prices.
  • Products are automatically marked up 30% to help cover our operating costs. You will still be paid the price you set for your products.
  • All products must be grown or produced in Hawaiʻi.
  • All producers must have and provide a valid Hawaiʻi GET Tax License.
  • Value-added producers of packaged products must provide proof that their products are prepared in a certified kitchen and labeled accordinglyIf you are a producer in East Hawaiʻi and are in need of a certified kitchen space, check out our Hilo Food Hub.

If you’d like to participate, please fill out the form below, and we’ll get in touch with you. If you know any other farmers who might like to join us, please forward them this link. Also, don’t forget to follow us on Instagram or Facebook
